With this double bill Marie Béland offers two pieces that place dance BEHIND or BETWEEN, as a challenge to the spectator. How does dance reveal itself to each of us? Invisible at first, the choreography ends up exposing more than it hides.
In BETWEEN, the choreographer studies incessant speech as body movement. The constant babbling becomes the foundation for the choreographic writing of our automated gestures.
BEHIND : une danse dont vous êtes le héros imposes a different challenge: in front of panels obstructing most of the stage and giving only hints of the action, the audience is invited to guess what is going on and to imagine their own choreography.
