Karine Gauthier / conceptrice d’éclairages

Karine Gauthier a collaboré à de nombreux projets dans différents pays. Elle a assuré la direction technique – et continue pour certains – de George Stamos, Suzanne Miller & Allan Paivio, Jean Sébastien Lourdais, Sylvain Émard Danse, Par B.L.eux mais aussi pour la compagnie Montréal Danse. Passionnée par la lumière, elle a conçu les éclairages pour les pièces Yellow Towel de Dana Michel ou The Part d’Antonija Livingstone, Fragil de Blanca Arrieta, La Métaphysique de Fredéric Marier, Husk et Liklik Pik de George Stamos, Soak de Caroline Laurin Beaucage et Martin Messier, et pour différents artistes tels que Véronica Mélis, Florence Figols, Érin Flynn, Marie-Claude Rodrigue, José Gagnon, Maria Kefirova, Emmanuelle Calvé, la talentueuse Elsiane, Suzanne Miller & Allan Paivio, la compagnie BBT et The Coregraphers. De plus, Karine Gauthier a collaboré avec Marco Calliari sur ses tournées Mia Dolce Vita et Al Faro Est et sur celles des artistes Richard Séguin et Jorane. Karine souhaiterait continuer longtemps dans cette voie lumineuse.

Marie-Pier Proulx / interprète collaboratrice

Diplômée de l’École de danse contemporaine de Montréal (2016) et d’un DEC en danse au Cégep de Saint-Laurent (2013), Marie-Pier Proulx est une artiste résolument inventive et engagée. C’est lors d’un voyage au Pérou, dans le cadre d’un échange artistique avec le Vichama Teatro, qu’elle découvre l’art communautaire. Cette aventure constitue un point marquant de son cheminement artistique et personnel. Durant son parcours scolaire, elle est appelée à danser pour de nombreux chorégraphes inspirants tels que Catherine Gaudet, Manon Oligny, Marie Béland, Sasha Ivanochko, Marc Boivin et Jamie Wright. Parallèlement, elle chorégraphie et interprète plusieurs projets présentés dans divers espaces de diffusions de la scène montréalaise : LAG, (Passerelle 840, 2017) Tender Skin (Cabaret l’Achoppe, 2015 ; Parc Olympique, 2016) ainsi que Latence (Passerelle 840, 2014) en collaboration avec Maggie Sauvé et Andréa Corbeil. Elle est également interprète pour plusieurs chorégraphes dont Helen Simard pour sa pièce Twenty One Angus (Mainline Theatre, 2013 ; Sala Rossa, 2014 ; Tangente, 2015), Chloé Ouellet Payeur dans La Banda (Passerelle 840, 2016 ; Zone Homa, 2016) et Mélusine de Maillé pour la vidéo-danse Ophélia (2015). Elle travaille également auprès des Productions Carmagnole où elle occupe le rôle d’organisatrice événementiel pour des spectacles réunissant théâtre, danse, cirque, musique et pyrotechnie (2 rue Cloutier, 2015 ; Carnaval d’un soir, 2016 ; Carnaval Carmagnole, 2012-2015). En juin 2016, elle entame le projet FLY où elle danse pour Victoria Mackenzie. Sa pièce Hexad Myriad est ensuite présentée au festival Quartier Danses (septembre 2016). Pour Marie-Pier, l’art est un véritable outil à la transformation sociale. Elle applique cette vision de l’art en participant entre autres au projet Rouage (2014-2016) dans un centre de femmes où elle anime des ateliers d’expression corporelle ainsi qu’au projet CréAction où elle chapeaute une création collective avec des jeunes Nord Montréalais. En complément de sa formation en danse, elle acquiert des compétences dans différentes disciplines de cirque comme la corde lisse, le tissu aérien et l’équilibre sur main.

Elsa Tellier / interprète collaboratrice

Native of Terrebonne, Elsa Tellier has been in contact with art from a young age through the study of violin, dance and drama. At the college level, she specializes in the discipline that inspires her most by starting a dance training at Collège Montmorency in Laval. She continued her training at the École de danse contemporaine de Montréal, from which she graduated in 2016. During her career, she discovered many ways to make the body speak, including through the meeting of several renowned choreographers such as Sasha Ivanochko, Manuel Roque, Ismaël Mouaraki, Marie Béland, Manon Oligny, Catherine Gaudet and Peter Jasko. During her training, she also learned a lot about going beyond herself. With a taste for challenge, Elsa goes forward with a lot of energy, intensity and passion in everything she does. Very organic and instinctive, she works hard to achieve her goals. A great sense of humour animates her, which she likes to share even in her dance. Of a tranquil strength nature, it is often considered the anchor of a group. Curious by nature and eager to learn, she began training at the École de danse contemporaine de Montréal in September 2016. She particularly wants to share through performance and teaching the possibility of an ease in the body and the joy of simply moving.

Jessica Perry / interprète collaboratrice

Jessica Perry graduated from the École de danse contemporaine de Montréal in May 2016. She is passionate about the human and its complexes, conditioning and paradoxical desires between individuality and belonging to the group. Jessica is interested in the depths of the human being, his discomforts, his contradictions and his ego, which she believes affect much more important societal problems.

After a creative residency obtained in the summer of 2016 at Fleur d’Asphalte studio for Ce que pensent les autres, she had the chance to create the solo 30sec., in collaboration with Mélissa Merlo, actress graduated from the Conservatoire d’art dramatique de Québec. She participated as a performer in the play Ma(G)ma by the collective Castel Blast, presented at the Espace Libre theatre. She also worked as a choreographer on Apprendre la peau, a piece presented at the event Vous êtes ici, organized by La SERRE_arts vivants at the Théâtre Aux Écuries. She was part of the Quebec-Canada team at the Jeux de la Francophonie in Abidjan (2017), Ivory Coast, in a creation by choreographer Marie Béland.

Sabrina Verrette / interprète collaboratrice

Sabrina Verrette graduated from the École de danse contemporaine de Montréal (EDCM) in 2016. Passionate about the human body, she began dancing very young in various leisure schools. As an adult, she decided to deepen her passion for movement at the Cégep de Montmorency, where she completed a DEC in dance. As part of her training at the EDCM, she is called upon to work with several inspiring choreographers including Jamie Wright, Sasha Ivanoshko, Manon Oligny, Marie Béland, Peter Jasko and Catherine Gaudet. Learning from these mentors led her to collaborate with Chloé Ouellet Payeur as a creative interpreter on the original project La Banda (La Bande) presented at Zone Homa in 2016. She also has a strong interest in teaching. It is with charisma and enthusiasm that she shares her dedication to dance through the school Our Voices Our Faces. Alongside the dance, Sabrina has a strong passion for strength training. She continues her studies in Kinesiology at the Université de Sherbrooke and works as a private trainer at Concept Cardio Plus.

Ariane Famelart / interprète collaboratrice

Ariane Famelart est une passionnée du mouvement et du dépassement de soi depuis toujours. Dans sa jeunesse, c’est par la gymnastique rythmique que commence cette grande histoire d’amour pour la rigueur, la patience et le plaisir dans le travail. C’est au programme de danse du cégep de St-Laurent qu’elle découvre tout le potentiel de subtilité que le mouvement peut apporter. C’est pourquoi elle décide de poursuivre ses études à l’École de danse contemporaine de Montréal. Elle y travaille avec des chorégraphes et professeurs qui l’inspirent énormément tels que Marie Béland, Manon Oligny, Catherine Gaudet, Brianna Lombardo, Jamie Wright et Marc Boivin, qui l’aide à assumer sa sensibilité et son authenticité. Femme de subtilité étant capable de bondir avec la férocité d’un tigre, tout au long de son parcours, Ariane développe son côté créateur en participant à chaque soirée Incubateur (aussi en tant que membre du comité organisateur de l’événement), qui lui permet de présenter des projets devant ses pairs.

C’est par l’art qu’Ariane en apprend davantage sur la vie qui l’entoure. Avec le temps, elle développe plusieurs habiletés connexes telles que la photographie et la peinture et elle souhaite dans le futur développer une certaine interdisciplinarité entre ces formes d’arts qui l’attirent.

Gabrielle Roy / performer collaborator

Originally from the city of Sherbrooke (Quebec, Canada) and now based in Montreal (Quebec) since 2013, Gabrielle Roy fell in love with the art of dance from an early age. She first completed her first dance training at the Cégep de Sherbrooke, where she met Lyne Lamontagne, who greatly influenced her artistic development. Intrigued by self-expression and the influence of the mind on the body, she embarked on a second training at the École de danse contemporaine de Montréal, from where she graduated in May 2016. During her studies, she worked alongside Peter Jasko, Catherine Gaudet, Jamie Wright, Marie Béland and Manon Oligny. Inspired by these committed figures of the contemporary scene and by her teachers Marc Boivin, Sophie Corriveau and Anne LeBeau, Gabrielle knows how to be vulnerable, touched by the prose and poetry of the words and bodies that surround her. She is in search of this state of pure truth where humanity advocates, which allows her to find the balance between her sensuality and her vitality in movement.

Cara Roy / interprète collaboratrice

Originally from New Brunswick, Cara Roy is a contemporary dancer currently based in Montreal. Since graduating from École de danse contemporaine de Montréal in 2016, she has been performed in several independent projects and has partaken in the creative processes of various choreogrphers, namely Martin Messier, Sarah Dell’Ava, Hélène Remoué, and Kate Ramsden. With a thirst for learning and for sharing, Cara also teaches dance classes and workshops.
